Court hearing soon in CA for child custody?

I have court hearing tomorrow morning for custody of my 11month old daughter. I couldnt afford an attorney so iam going to represent myself. Iam very nervous..any advise PLEASE???? This is the thing or court date was set for July 2011 but he, my babys father went to the court house and asked for an emergency hearing so now we have the hearing on Friday and we have not even gone to a Mediator..What do you think will happen??? I really wanted to see a mediator before we speak to a judge! any Advise???..we wouldnt of been going through this if he were mature enough and and respected OUR Verbal Agreement.
