Strongest angel in heaven?

9/10 people will say Michael, but in a lot of Jewish/christian apocrypha they talk about Metatron, an enigmatic angel, but is without a doubt a higher rank than Michael. It was said that metatron helps hold the fabric of the universe together and assisted in its construction, he is said to sit directly next to the throne of God, is the mediator between mankind and the divine etc...metatron, not Michael, sounds like a more powerful angel.
