I live at the top of a hill that is between 30-45 degree climb,?

I live at the top of a hill that is between 30-45 degree climb, the water service has inadequate pressure to get the water up the hill. The mediator pump (just a pool pump) that was half way up burst and now I do not have water! I called a number i found in the yellow pages and the guy says I have to dig my own well for 10K. Do i jut put a another pool pump in?
