If you dream of a animal after you have reseached about animal spirits and guides?

does that mean that could be your animal? this happened to me about 2 months ago and now im just wondering about it now, does the animal have to say exactly "i am your spirit animal"? or just it will show its self in a dream and that shows its the spirit trying to contact me? i saw a brown wolf with gold eyes it ran up to me and growled but didnt attack me and the surrondings was like it was in winter because i saw snow on the ground, and in the dream i wasnt scared of the wolf at all, i just looked at him, and oh yeah wolves are my favorite animal, i never understood why, sum1 plz that do know a great deal of information about power,spirit and totem animals plz tell me what this dream means
