What are your thoughts on gay marriage now being legal in New York?

If only the rest of the country could follow in its footsteps. It makes me happy that there's one victory. Its illegal in my state and I can't stand it. How is it legal in some states for you to marry a dog, when my friend and his boyfriend have been in love for six years And can't get married? Its ridiculous. This country was founded on the bases of freedom, and church being separate from state. And we're going against this by telling millions of people they can't marry the one they love just because close minded assholeeees aren't comfortable with homosexuality. Its the 21st century people. Get used to it- people are gay.
